How We See Families

Home visits

We visit families at home across South East London, so we can see real mealtimes in your own space and build strategies that fit your family.

Nursery & school visits

With your permission, we can visit your child's nursery, childminder or school to observe a mealtime and help staff support your child consistently.

Online sessions

Online sessions are available wherever you live, for assessments, therapy and parent coaching, and fit easily around work and family life.

Working Alongside Your Local Team

Many children we meet are already known to NHS teams at Evelina London Children's Hospital, Guy's and St Thomas', King's College Hospital or University Hospital Lewisham. Private feeding therapy can work alongside that care, and with your consent we'll share updates so everyone is working towards the same goals.

South East London is a wonderful place to eat together, from Maltby Street and Borough Market to Deptford High Street and Rye Lane. For children who find new foods overwhelming, we build up in small, pressure-free steps, so that busy, food-filled places can one day feel fun rather than frightening.

Feeding Therapy in South East London: FAQs

Is there a private feeding therapist in South East London who does home visits?
Yes. Learn to Feed offers private paediatric feeding therapy across South East London, including Bermondsey, Borough, Deptford and Peckham, with home visits, nursery and school visits, and online sessions. Our therapists are HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapists specialising in feeding and swallowing. An initial assessment is £310 in person or £250 online. Get in touch to book.
What's the difference between ARFID and picky eating?
Many children go through picky phases and still grow and thrive. With ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder), a child's eating is restricted because of sensory sensitivity, a fear of choking or being sick, or very low interest in food. It has a real impact, such as poor growth, nutritional gaps, relying on supplements, or struggling to eat with others. ARFID is diagnosed by a medical or mental health professional. We support the feeding and sensory side, alongside your child's wider team.
