Feeding Therapy in Surrey

Specialist feeding therapy across Surrey, at home, at nursery or school, or online, for babies and children with swallowing difficulties, tube feeding, sensory-based feeding aversions or extreme fussy eating.

Learn to Feed started in Woking, and Surrey is our home. If your child is struggling with eating, drinking or swallowing, whether that's gagging on new textures, a tiny list of 'safe' foods, a diagnosed swallowing difficulty or life with a feeding tube, you don't have to work it out on your own, and you don't have to wait months to get started.

Our HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapists specialise in paediatric feeding and dysphagia. We visit families at home, at nursery and at school across Woking, Guildford, Elmbridge, Runnymede and Surrey Heath, and offer online sessions wherever you are.

How We See Families

Home visits

We visit families at home across Surrey, so we can see real mealtimes in your own space and build strategies that fit your family.

Nursery & school visits

With your permission, we can visit your child's nursery, childminder or school to observe a mealtime and help staff support your child consistently.

Online sessions

Online sessions are available wherever you live, for assessments, therapy and parent coaching, and fit easily around work and family life.

Working Alongside Your Local Team

Many children we meet are already known to local NHS services, such as Children and Family Health Surrey, or hospital teams at the Royal Surrey in Guildford, St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey or Frimley Park Hospital. Private feeding therapy can sit alongside that care, and with your consent we'll keep your child's other professionals updated so their care is joined up.

Some of the best feeding practice happens away from the table: a picnic in Woking Park, a snack by the river at Walton, or a walk along the Basingstoke Canal. Eating somewhere relaxed can take the pressure off a child who finds food hard, and small wins there often carry back home.

Feeding Therapy in Surrey: FAQs

Is there a private feeding therapist in Surrey who does home visits?
Yes. Learn to Feed offers private paediatric feeding therapy across Surrey, including Woking, Guildford, Weybridge, Addlestone and Camberley, with home visits, nursery and school visits, and online sessions. Our therapists are HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapists specialising in feeding and swallowing. An initial assessment is £310 in person or £250 online. Get in touch to book.
Can you help my child move from a feeding tube to eating by mouth?
Yes. Tube weaning is a gradual, team-based process, never a race. Before we start, we check your child is medically stable, growing well and able to swallow safely, and we agree a plan with your medical team and dietitian. We then build oral skills, appetite and positive experiences with food step by step, while your dietitian guides any reduction in tube feeds. Every child's pace is different, and we work at theirs.
Do you visit Weybridge, Walton-on-Thames, Cobham and Esher?
Yes. We offer home, nursery and school visits across Elmbridge, including Weybridge, Oatlands, Walton-on-Thames, Hersham, Cobham, Stoke d'Abernon, Oxshott, Esher, Claygate and Hinchley Wood (KT10 to KT13), and Shepperton (TW17).
Do you cover Guildford?
Yes. We visit families across Guildford, including Burpham, Merrow, Stoughton, Onslow Village, Shalford, Worplesdon and Jacobs Well (GU1 to GU4).
Do you visit Addlestone, Chertsey, Egham and Virginia Water?
Yes. We cover Runnymede, including Addlestone, New Haw, Ottershaw, Chertsey, Lyne, Egham, Englefield Green, Thorpe and Virginia Water (KT15, KT16, TW20 and GU25).
Do you visit Camberley, Frimley and Bagshot?

I'm a bit further away. Can you still help?
Yes. For Farnham, Godalming, Leatherhead, Epsom, Dorking, Staines and Kingston, a home, nursery or school visit may be possible depending on your exact location, and a travel fee may apply. Get in touch and we'll let you know. We can always support you online.
Do you have a clinic?
No. We come to you instead, with home, nursery and school visits, or online sessions. Learn to Feed started in Woking, and we see families across Woking, Knaphill, Horsell, Byfleet, West Byfleet, Pyrford, Send and Ripley (GU21 to GU24) and the rest of our Surrey area.
