Specialising in paediatric dysphagia, breastfeeding, weaning, tube weaning, and fussy eating — including sensory feeding aversions and ARFID.

Hi! I'm Savannah — a Speech and Language Therapist specialising in paediatric feeding, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and a mum to a little boy (and two cats, Pumpkin and Zucchini, who very much run the household).

I originally trained in South Africa and made my way to the UK — and like most foreigners, what was meant to be temporary has turned into home. I have a Masters in Advanced Paediatrics and am trained in the SOS Approach to Feeding Therapy and SOFFI, with over ten years of experience supporting families through some of the most stressful and enjoyable moments of parenthood. That experience spans neonatal units, paediatric wards, community teams, schools, and four different countries — which means I've seen feeding challenges in a huge range of contexts and I know how to find solutions that actually work in real life.

Being a mum has also shaped the way I work in ways I didn't expect. Navigating the health system for my own child — advocating, questioning, piecing information together — gave me a whole new understanding of what families go through. I don't just work alongside parents; I've been one, sitting in the same uncertainty, asking the same questions.

To me, feeding and mealtimes are so much more than food and nutrition. They are about family, sharing, laughter, story-telling, love, community and bonding. This is the philosophy on which I base my practice. Just like walking and talking, eating is a learning process. Whether it is breastfeeding, bottle feeding or developing chewing, all types of feeding are a skill. Let me help you and your baby, toddler or child learn to feed!

I work with a wonderful team of therapists across the UK who provide feeding and communication therapy — meet them below.
