We visit families at home across Surrey, so we can see your child in their everyday space and build strategies that fit your family.

Nursery & school visits

With your permission, we can visit your child's nursery or school to observe, support staff and make sure everyone is working towards the same goals.

Online sessions

Online sessions are available wherever you live, and fit easily around work, naps and school runs.

Working Alongside Your Local Team

Many children we see are also known to Children and Family Health Surrey, their school's SENCo or other professionals. Private therapy can work alongside that support, and with your consent we'll share reports and goals so everyone is working together.

Is there a private speech and language therapist for children in Surrey who does home visits?
Yes. Learn to Feed offers private speech and language therapy across Surrey, including Woking, Guildford, Weybridge, Addlestone and Camberley, with home visits, nursery and school visits and online sessions, depending on therapist availability. Our therapists are HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapists. An assessment is £250 in person or £200 online. Get in touch to book.
How much does private speech therapy cost in Surrey?
An initial speech therapy assessment is £250 in person or £200 online. Communication therapy sessions are £120 in person or £72 online. In-person prices include home, nursery and school visits within our visiting area. Get in touch and we'll talk you through the options for your child.
What is AAC, and will it stop my child from learning to talk?
AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) means any way of communicating alongside or instead of speech, such as signing, picture symbols, communication boards or a speech-generating app or device. Research shows AAC doesn't stop children from talking, and it often supports speech development. We assess what will work best for your child and show you, and their nursery or school, how to model it in everyday life.
My child repeats phrases from TV or songs. Is that a problem?
It's often a sign of gestalt language processing, a natural way of learning language in chunks or scripts that's common in autistic children. These phrases usually carry real meaning. Rather than trying to stop them, we help you understand what your child is communicating and support them to build more flexible language over time.
Do you support autistic children?
Yes. Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming. We start with what your child loves and how they already communicate, and we value every way of communicating, including speech, gesture, signing, AAC and gestalt language. We also work with your child's nursery or school, so everyone is working together. You don't need a diagnosis to get started.
