We visit families at home across North East Hampshire, so we can see your child in their everyday space and build strategies that fit your family.

Nursery visits

With your permission, we can visit your baby's nursery or childminder to support staff with weaning at mealtimes.

Online sessions

Online sessions are available wherever you live, and fit easily around work, naps and school runs.

Working Alongside Your Local Team

Health visitors and local baby groups are a great source of support while you're weaning. We're happy to work alongside your health visitor or GP and, with your consent, keep them updated.

For military families, weaning can collide with moves and deployments. We plan support flexibly, mixing home visits and online sessions so you have continuity wherever life takes you.

Is there a private weaning specialist in North East Hampshire who does home visits?
Yes. Learn to Feed offers private weaning support across North East Hampshire, including Farnborough and Fleet, with home visits, nursery visits and online sessions, depending on therapist availability. Our therapists are HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapists specialising in infant feeding. A weaning support session is £150 in person or £90 online. Get in touch to book.
How do I tell the difference between gagging and choking?
Gagging is noisy: your baby may cough, splutter, go red and push food forward. It's a normal safety reflex, and very common when weaning. Choking is usually silent: your baby can't cough, cry or breathe effectively, and needs immediate first aid. If gagging is very frequent, leads to vomiting or makes mealtimes distressing, we can help you work out why and what to do.
